Welcome back

June 20, 2008 2:23 pm

Cito Gaston, the only Blue Jays manager to win the World Series (and he did it twice!) was brought back on to try and rescue this season.

Raptors

Raptors lost :(

Who you gonna call?

5:34 pm

My Raptors are up by 2 in what could be their final (hopefully not) game of the season.

This’ll distract me for a bit:

Yay my Raptors!

The Raptors won a game they really had to, and the series is now 2-1 in favour of Orlando.

This was a good win for them (didn’t see it because I was at work till 9pm).

I hope they can keep it up and make it a series, really I think they’re as good a team as Orlando, but the last couple of months they played poorly.

Proposing at sporting events.

Guys, guys.

I feel for ya, but really….the proposal, just like your wedding, and your wedded life is all about her.

Don’t propose at sporting events, guys. Just not cool.

SuperBowl party is off.

January 30, 2008 11:47 pm

My SuperBowl tea party for singles (i.e., single men with no lives) is cancelled.

It seems my not having cable or rabbit ears puts a damper on the watching of t.v. thing.

And since we’re a couple of weeks away from Smash Bros. Brawl I don’t think I have anything for a bunch of guys to do.

Harold Ballard bet on the wrong sport.

Big Boss Man was kind enough to give me two tickets to an upcoming Raptors game (vs. Orlando, Feb. 20th) to scalp.

Hahaha, just kidding.

The tickets go for $172 each, canyoubelieveit?. At least it’s not the Leafs. I wouldn’t wish Toronto MakeBeliefs tickets on anyone.

Grrrrr

Grrrrr:

Stupid Raptors

Can’t blame’em for losing to the Pistons, who’re awesome (second best team in the NBA!) but the Raps aren’t nearly as good as I gave them credit for before the season started.

Making concessions…

Ross and Tony took their team to the Marlies game this weekend. The Marlies play at the Ricoh Centre, which is where the horses used to be at the Exhibition grounds.

Robert R., Taha and I totally crashed it. ‘Cuz that’s how we roll.

Pizza was good, hotdogs were good (I pigged out, you’d be proud) and then Taha raided the fridge for a grape Fruitopia.

So, then the box-seat usher lady comes and tells him he has to pay for what’s taken out of the fridge. And I swear, she’s like, “That’s 5 or 6 dollars”. I’m SURE she said that, like she didn’t even know how much it was. She might as well have said, “It’s really exorbitant, you’re going to hate me when I look up the price.” because it all amounts to the same thing.

So he paid for it, and justified it by saying it tasted great.

That’s just a head’s up for those of you thinking of going to a Marlies game. Or, if you’re thinking of finding out who/what the Marlies are (I still don’t).

The highlight of the game was during the first intermission when the little 6 year olds played, and one of them scored (purposely, ‘cuz he totally had to mean to do it on a breakaway) on his own net.

Raps lost to the Celts, extreme heat causes welts

November 5, 2007 6:35 am

Argh!!!!

My Raptors lost yesterday to the Boston Celtics, ugh. They could have won it too, after playing horribly for the whole game they took it to OT and couldn’t manage to pop some in during the extra session. Bosh and Bargnani were both cold, but T.J. Ford knocked in 32, as the only Raptor who did anything noteworthy.

That said, I’m heartened by the team’s defence, even when they aren’t scoring, they can still win games with defence.

Sage and I are planning to attend some games this season. Rock on.
