Uncle Great Watches a Movie: Where the Wild Things Are

This movie was awesome. It did impotent rage even better than King Kong did.

I think it was just great.

Not fork the kids though, it’s downright scary at parts!

I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the movie!

I kind of want to see it, but am also apprehensive about it, because Where the Wild Things Are is (arguably) my favourite picture book . . . I hope they do it justice.

The costumes, &c, look amazing in the previews.

Go see it, trust me, it’s that good.

Totally inappropriate for children, but I think adults that read the story (I have not) would enjoy it, as it’s (I suspect) a pretty literal movie translation of the book. It’s brutal in a way at times but very, very well done.
