The Bottom List
January 20, 2009 9:19 pmErin just posted her Top 30 list of favourite movies.
I thought I’d throw in my Top 10 (not complete as I didn’t give it too much thought) but also my Bottom List of some of the worst movies I’ve ever seen…or at least the most disappointing.
- Robin Hood: Men In Tights
- Step Brothers
- Constantine
- The Matrix 2 & 3
- Star Wars 1,2 and 3 (and 6) and The Clone Wars
- Dr. No
- Quantum of Solace
- Superman III and the subsequent movies
- Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
- The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe
- Hitman
- Transporter 3
- The Chase
- Queen of the Damned
- Lord of the Rings 2 & 3 (I know, I know, well they’re very professionally made, and expertly crafted but the stories stunk, it’s like, “Frodo, let’s go off to the Forest of Irigirigarden and fight the evil Malakor in order to ensure that the giant Bluenosed Squirrels don’t go foraging while we’re walking through the Bog of Shallowmoor”)
- The One
Edit: Danny just reminded me to add Spielberg’s horrid ‘A.I.’ to the list.

One Response to “The Bottom List”
Har har har, I was going to put “Robin Hood: Men in Tights” in my TOP 10 ^__^ . . . I’m a big Mel Brooks fan, and a big Robin Hood fan, and a fan of Cary Elwes back in the day. I loved this movie so much as a kid!
I didn’t mind Star Wars 3 – but I think I was comparing it to 1 and 2; it’s a far cry below the original trilogy, in my opinion. I just don’t care about the characters!
I don’t remember DISliking “Dr No,” but then, I probably haven’t seen it in ten years.
Quantum of Solace? I was disappointed that it wasn’t as good as I thought Casino Royale was, but . . . again, I wouldn’t deem it one of the worst movies I’ve seen. (To each his own! ^_^)
Indiana Jones IV – again, disappointment; not worst.
Chronicles of Narnia/LWW – I liked the old BBC version (low-tech as it is), and I thought this one was basically unnecessary. Especially the battle scenes; I just felt like I was watching Lord of the Rings or something all over again, with animals. I did like the beginning bit, where they were running around the Professor’s house to 40s music. But I have a soft spot for 40s music and old houses. And . . . well. I’ll leave it at that.
I didn’t enjoy Matrix 2 or (very much) LotR 2 & 3 (except bits, like Minas Tirith *sigh*) . . . and I suppose I’m glad to say that I haven’t seen the other movies on your least-favourite list! ^_^
