Tomato’s birthday.

September 30, 2008 8:47 am

It was my younger niece’s birthday yesterday so I gave her a call.

So she starts talking about the presents she got, and this and that, and to be honest I don’t really know what Webkins are (I do know about Pokemon though) so I let her talk on about the cool stuff she got.

She got $100 from her paternal grandparents and wanted a Butterscotch Pony. I didn’t know what that was but just saw it on Toys R Us’ website.

$299. Yikes!

Cacophonous, yes. Informative, yes too!

I’m writing this on a friend’s MacBook Pro. The speakers on this thing are seriously top-notch. They’re probably Harmon Kardon. I remember hearing the new-style iMac’s built-in speakers and being impressed with those too.

The built-in MP3/media player that comes with Ubuntu (Rhythmbox?) is seriously excellent as well. I actually got around to listening to Internet radio with it today and I like how it keeps track of your music collection and radio stations. Very easy to use. It’s like iTunes without the music store (it just acts as a media player).

Which brings me to Shoutcast’s list of Christian radio stations. Have a listen

Here’s a ‘meh’ tune I just did.

I really ought to learn that playing in time is necessary, not just a happy coincidence if it happens.

Here.

Puppy Vu on the southbound train. I’d seen her once before, but this time she stood near me so I got her attention had a nice convo.

I went to Ryerson with Puppy’s big sister.

I hadn’t seen either in quite some time.
