Congratulations to Mike H. and Alicia on their betrothal.
Neither of them reads this blog, so this is a completely empty gesture.

I work for An Internet Company but it’s a young person’s game and I’m getting decidedly old and past by Internet best-before date.
There’s all these new-fangled services out there like doohickeyr.com and whatchimicallitizer.com and thisnthatt.net and stuff and I’m sure some people keep track of all of it – I don’t know why. I mean, it’s not that I don’t know why they don’t watch what’s going on professionally, I don’t know why anyone cares anymore. It’s not interesting to me.
It’s like we’re trying to eek out another tiny fraction of productivity with all these tools, and we end up just wasting a ton of time on them. Like, if you sign up to headbinder.com to keep tabs on your friends, are you doing that any more quickly or efficiently than you did before?
I’m a Luddite (I hope I’m using that word right) and I’m proud. JimmyJames and I used to talk about how old people are funny because not only do they not understand technology, the mere mention of anything computer or Internet related made them turn off their brains completely and switch into some weird shell-shocked mode where they’d say things more ridiculous than though possible.
But now I’m thinking it’s all cool. I’d like to be the same way when the young whippersnappers start bragging about how popular they are on aremyfashionshot.org. I don’t want to know.
I forgot why I started writing this. I’m old. Rock on.

I’ve seen a lot of movies lately.
Cloverfield – Good. Reminded me of Half-Life for some reason (everything reminds me of Half-Life)
National Treasure 2 – About what I expected, not bad. Not great. Not good either, really.
Charlie Wilson’s War – Decent, kinda meh.
Rambo – Good, what I expected, violent.

Big Boss Man was kind enough to give me two tickets to an upcoming Raptors game (vs. Orlando, Feb. 20th) to scalp.
Hahaha, just kidding.
The tickets go for $172 each, canyoubelieveit?. At least it’s not the Leafs. I wouldn’t wish Toronto MakeBeliefs tickets on anyone.

I could wash dishes for a living, I think, I’m by far the most thorough dishwasher I know.
I fill the sink with extra hot (nearly scalding) water, with lots of soap.
I put all my dishes in there (I have a special order in which I place them in – plates, dishes, glasses, utensils) and let the steaming hot water do the primary disinfection. Then I hand wash each dish individually and rinse it off.
I think the appeal of dishwashing is that it gives you time to think about things while you’re keeping busy. It’s one of those things that’s not really work.
I love dishwashing. I think I could do it professionally in a restaurant or something. I mean, I’m not the fastest dishwasher I know, but I always give it my all, and that’s what counts.

Just wow.
First off, saw The Bucket List with Kate Y. tonight, good flick, Nicholson and Freeman are awesome. Ran into Simon L. on the way home (he works near where I live) and – I did this a couple of times, referred to Morgan Freeman as Gordon Freeman. Haha.
Anyway, here’s the Wow portion of today’s story.
So, after yesterday’s decrying of post-Christmas/Boxing Day revenue declines…I had my best day ever today. Well, best day after, and it’s all due to one click.
I won’t talk about how much the click was, but I was floored. It was nearly enough to make my whole operation profitable for the day, alone
In other news, old, evil habits die hard.
